Dua for Inner and Outer Beauty

There is a beautiful dua that we can recite to ask Allah for both inner and outer beauty:

"Allahumma ij'al fi qalbi nooran, wa ij'al fi sam'i nooran, wa ij'al fi basari nooran, wa ij'al min fawqii nooran, wa ij'al min tahti nooran, wa ij'al 'amma yamiini nooran, wa ij'al 'an yasari nooran, wa ij'al min bayna yadayya nooran, wa ij'al min khalfi nooran."

Translation: "O Allah, place light in my heart, light in my hearing, light in my sight, light above me, light beneath me, light on my right, light on my left, light in front of me, light behind me."

This dua is not just for physical beauty. It is also a prayer for inner beauty, for a heart filled with light and radiance. When we have inner beauty, it shines through our faces and makes us truly attractive.

Steps for Performing the Dua

1. Perform wudu.
2. Face the Qibla.
3. Recite the dua three times.
4. After reciting the dua, blow on your face.

You can recite this dua at any time, but it is especially beneficial to recite it in the morning and evening.
